Managing stress and anxiety
Stress and anxiety can feel exceptionally intense for teenagers and young adults in the current time and age. It goes without saying that being a teenager or young adult today can be particularly hard as a result of the constant need to juggle different tasks, pressures, experiences, and expectations. Even though it is normal for individuals to encounter some challenges during their growth process, sometimes, additional tools can make a beautiful difference. This way, learning how to manage and cope with stress and anxiety can lead to significant physical, emotional and mental benefits.
What the participants will explore?
During this session, teenagers and young adults will get to explore different aspects of stress and anxiety, including its nature, causes, and possible reactions to those experiences. Rather than encouraging participants to overcome challenging situations through sheer force, it is all about offering useful techniques aimed at calming down and balancing out emotions and thoughts. Some topics that may be discussed during the class might be breathing exercises, grounding techniques, positive self-talk, and other helpful coping strategies.
A space for relaxation and support
The most important thing about such sessions is that we offer a comfortable space where individuals can just be, listen and experience a deep breath work session. This helps them identify where the stress/anxiety is stored within their body and help them dissolve it. This brings great relaxation including emotional and mental support. Thus, teenagers and young adults who often struggle in silence under a great deal of pressure can finally receive the necessary support and encouragement. Moreover, having such experiences, teenagers and young adults tend to grow confident and more aware of the choices they should be making.
For those who might currently struggle with managing their studying, social anxiety, burnout, or anything else that could cause anxiety, there are different processes that will help them to relax. Taking things slowly, recognising personal strengths and capabilities, and the understanding that everyone experiences the same feelings can really make a massive difference.
